WHERE WE BEGAN
Brewtown founder Mark Stredwick knows a thing or two about good beer. An avid ale enthusiast since his first (legal) sip way back when his passion for exploring all aspects of the brewing trade was kindled when he left the UK to travel the world.
After his 16 years overseas — which included a two-month craft beer tour of northwestern America and working with Dave’s Brewery Tours as a guide in Sydney, Australia – Mark moved back to his home county of Yorkshire. Researching the local beer scene on his return, he was astonished by the number of microbreweries in the area producing a wide variety of high quality beer styles, but felt frustrated that many visitors to Yorkshire wouldn’t be aware of or get the chance to explore the incredible range of craft beers and real ales on offer.
So, Brewtown Brewery Tours were born. Offering the opportunity to experience Yorkshire’s best-kept beer secrets, you can learn about the brewing process, explore the inside of a working brewery, and sample some of the most delicious beers in the UK. On a Brewtown tour, you’ll be guaranteed plenty of samples, fascinating chats, beautiful Yorkshire scenery — and, above all, a unique fun day out!
WHAT WE DO
Brewtown Tours doesn’t exist to show you beers and breweries you’re already familiar with. Instead, we’re here to take you on a journey of exploration and discovery. With our wealth of local knowledge and our passion for quality beer brewed in small batches by independent producers, we aim to connect curious drinkers with local makers. Enjoy a selection of local beers and drink in the sights of God’s own county — quite literally. Brewtown Brewery Tours are perfect for connoisseurs and craft beer virgins alike. Our tours are ALL inclusive, so once you join us, you don’t have to worry about a thing along the way. So if you’re interested in connecting with Yorkshire’s craft beer community, hop aboard the Brewtown minibus, grab a seat, and get ready to experience a malt-itude of amazing tastes.
WHO WE ARE
At Brewtown, we’re committed to supporting local breweries and communities. Our philosophy of “buy local, buy small, buy quality” extends to everything we do. We keep our tour groups small, and we emphasize quality over quantity in our approach to beer. We like to take the time to appreciate the skill and craftsmanship in every sip, and we encourage you to do the same. Our ambition is to bring people together to become a part of the beer community, giving you the opportunity to taste and experience the craftsmanship of our local producers.
