We have our latest limited-edition special out at the start of June … following the huge success of our 3.9% Session-IPA ‘Soracha Samurai’, we’ll be brewing a 5.0% New World IPA called ‘Killa Kiwi’.

Our tap-room is now open from 3pm to 8pm each week and proving a real hit! …. We’ve had new faces and will be launching a takeaway food option in the coming weeks!

Rudfest `party in the vale of York'. Rudgate Brewery are excited to announce our first Rudfest event on 9th June 2018 13.00-20.00. We will be selling our permanent cask ale selection and some some of our popular seasonal ales along with a selection of great street food.

We will be providing a free bus service to and from Cattal train station and there will be live music to enjoy whilst sampling our fine ales. Depart Cattal on the half hour from 12:30 until 19:30.

Cask Racking machine is now in place in the brewery. So far our new cask racker from Brewology has been working well. This piece of a machinery is going to help improve the quility of our beer and help increase our effciency becasue we won't be spilling beer all over the place when we are racking. The beer is pumped through a percistaltic pump which means no air gets in the beer while filling!

NEW, Rudfest are excited to partner with @kinoko_kombucha which is taking the soft drink world by storm they will be serving healthy, non-alcoholic alternatives!

You can buy our beers onine at Beeritz or at

The Market Tap opened in Pocklington on 25th May following a complete refurbishment of the old Maynews shop. With a new roof, a new staircase and a new steel supporting structure the Georgian building is ready to start its new life as The Market Tap. We are pouring 9 cask and 9 keg beers, a good selection of bottled beers and ciders, decent wine and gin. We have pies, cheese, charcuterie, and other goodies on the menu. We’re working with some great local (and some not so local) producers. Beer cured bacon sarnie? Local pork sausages made with our XS ESB? Do come and visit us and see what you think. We’re open all week - early till late. 11 Market Place, Pocklington York YO42 2AS.

The Tap Room at the Brewery is extremely popular – Open Friday 3.30 – 7.30 with 3 – 5 real ale and keg beers on. There is usually some pie if you are quick enough! 3, Handley Park, Elvington York YO41 4AR

BeerTown, our charity beer festival run in collaboration with Bad Seed Brewery, was an absolute hit this year. Early figures indicate we had more people through the door, more beer supped, and most importantly more funds raised for Ryedale Special Families. A huge thank you to all who came, and especially to those who volunteered their time and made it happen.

At BeerTown we launched a brand new delight, Hazelnut Mild X. There is a general misconception in this day and age that mild ales are supposed to be low in ABV. Not true! In fact in the 1800's, when mild ales were at their height of popularity, they were generally stronger than the stouts & porters of the era. During World War I grain shortages led to legislation limiting how high a gravity could be reached by an ale, so the traditional strengths became a thing of the past, and the modern mild ale was introduced. We've made ours a really traditional 10.0% ABV, and packed with nutty aroma.

Dubbing itself a "Foodie Glastonbury",The 10th annual Malton Food Lovers Festival is taking place across the spring bank holiday at the end of May, showcasing a vast array of local food and drink, demonstartions from celebrity chefs, and of course beer from ourselves. Our drinks tent in Malton marketplace opens from 5pm on Friday 25th May, and 10am Saturday and Sunday, with plenty of bands and musical artists providing entertainment from 5pm until 10pm each night. Hope we see you there.

June's seasonals will see the return of one of our big crowd pleasers, Life's A Beach. Our 3.6% Pina Colada inspired wheat beer is packed with pineapple and coconut flavour, and will be available in both cask and keg form.

We're also brewing a brand new beer dubbed Mob Rule with inspiration coming from one of our Crowler Club members. This will be a 5.0% Raspberry and Ginger farmhouse style, fermented using Saison yeast to give it spicy character and a hint of fruity bubblegum flavour. Available in cask, expect to find this in your local reputable pub very soon.

Tuesday night is quiz night with the most dapper QUIZMASTER you've ever seen, our very own Benjamin, in charge of testing your brains this evening. From 7.30pm we're in for a night of side-splitting shenanigans.
(Usual rules apply. Teams of 4 or less, £1 per person, the winning team takes the pot and a free pint each)soon.
